Patti, I think crazy/stupid is more like it. I was just interested in seeing what the pressure of a deadline would do, and what would happen if I had to come up with and idea and a chapter, without having much time to work it or fiddle with it. If nothing else, it has really freed me up to not take the writing and myself so seriously. With a challenge like this, I'll do the best I keep telling myself it's just for fun and for crying out loud, how good can anything be that I crank out this fast. It's ironic that as self-conscious as I typically am about my work, I'm going online with what is definitely not my best work. Who knows, maybe it will birth my best idea. Thanks for the support!

Wow! Good for you. And I am betting that it may very well help you come out with brilliant stuff. Seriously, pressure does that. I am definitely going to be rooting for you!

Lisa, I've posted the forum link on my blog so that I can keep track.
Think others will want to do the same. All the very best with the Challenge - sounds a bit like learning to ice skate!!!?

Literary Quote

It is worth mentioning, for future reference, that the creative power which bubbles so pleasantly in beginning a new book quiets down after a time, and one goes on more steadily. Doubts creep in. Then one becomes resigned. Determination not to give in, and the sense of an impending shape keep one at it more than anything.
