Green Porno

If you thought you'd already seen Isabella Rosellini's strangest role when you watched Blue Velvet, think again.

Green Porno is a Sundance Channel series of short films on -- insect reproduction. Check it out here.

Wow, you know I just noticed the other day there was a shortage of films on insect reproduction ...

Ok you know what is weird? I was looking at your post as I went to ask Oldest for the phone and instead I asked her to pass me the porn. Luckily she had no idea what I was talking about!

Hmph! "Unavailable in my territory."

Perhaps that's a blessing....

Larramie, I'm laughing and I really can't imagine what she was thinking. I know I'll never look at a snail the same way again though!

Charles, It's totally weird -- and that's saying something coming from me.

Travis, Oh come on!

Julie, See? Now that void has been filled. I'll give her credit for doing something I have NEVER seen before. I don't even think I'd know how to describe it.

Patti, Exactly! That's the perfect description.

Ello, HAHAHAHAHA!!! That's too funny!

Steve, Well, we'll see about that! I don't know how the Sundance Channel could deprive New Zealand of this valuable entertainment. Hmmm...I'm going to check YouTube...or not. It probably is a blessing but jeeze, you really ought to see it.

#2 daughter just came by and, eyes rolling, in THAT tone asked me "WTF???" WTF indeed!

Brilliant. Simply brilliant. Should be mandatory viewing for everyone.

I think being able to urinate out of all your segments is a real plus.

Hmmm, sounds very interesting... I'll have to check it out. :-)

And, I've tagged you for a meme! :-)

That picture scares me. Is that bad?

I saw her promoting this on one of the late-night shows...Letterman, I think. Horrendous, certainly, and...well, just so bizarre.

It's amazing what people can come up with!

Debra, You said "anus" HAHAHAHAHA! WTF Debra? :)

Orchid Hunter, Glad to hear the scientific community approves!

Denis, Well yeah! Who hasn't wished for that option?

Vesper, Aha! I'm on it -- although the lazy days of summer have me in deep procrastination mode. It may take me a couple of days to do the meme. I'm stuck on my "to do" list (which means I don't have one today except "do as little as possible").

Mardougrrl, Be afraid! Be very afraid! Nah, it's actually pretty funny.

Therese, The thing I can't figure out is who the intended audience is.

Barrie, The imagination is a powerful and intriguing entity, isn't it?

Just when you think you might have seen it all... One imagines Ingrid Bergman rolling in her grave, hmm?

Years ago, I used to be crazy about Ms. Rosselini's half-sister Pia Lindstrom. Amazing how much a difference a few chromosomes can make. Which perhaps is the point -- A point -- of "Green Porno," too.

JES, I had never heard of Pia Lindstrom. Thanks for enlightening me. I'm still laughing about "Green Porno" and still entirely unsure what the point is. But I have to admit, it's funny.

Literary Quote

It is worth mentioning, for future reference, that the creative power which bubbles so pleasantly in beginning a new book quiets down after a time, and one goes on more steadily. Doubts creep in. Then one becomes resigned. Determination not to give in, and the sense of an impending shape keep one at it more than anything.
