Dennis Cass Is...Hysterical!

I'll be posting about Head Case: How I Almost Lost My Mind Trying to Understand My Brain, by Dennis Cass when I do my monthly What I Read This Month Instead of Writing or Doing Laundry post, but I just ran across this post and video on his paperback book launch and it is hysterical. Make two minutes and go watch Dennis.

It's always good to learn from the pros!

Found you through Conduit and noticed we're sort of neighbors. (I'm near Boulder.) Are you in Rocky Mountain Fiction Writers?

Well -- this may be an example of how something goes viral. Bella Stander at Reading Under the Covers posted this last night and now it's on Galleycat and Gawker!

Patti, There's so much to look forward to!

Yogamum, I've probably watched it 5 times now and I crack up every time.

Patti, I wouldn't be surprised to see him pop up somewhere else now. He's great in front of the camera!

Chris, I stop by every day. I just don't always leave prints ;)

Ello, I think YOU should do a video -- maybe something with the whole family :)

Charles, I haven't even published a book and can see myself in it!

Betsey, I'm a lurker on lots of blogs! Yes, actually I've been a dues-paying member for the last two years and I get the group email every night, but I confess that aside from attending part of the Colorado Gold Conference this past summer, I've never participated in anything else. I also belong to Lighthouse Writers Workshop and I attended their retreat last summer (in Grand Lake, which I believe is a favorite place of yours?) and a number of their workshops. We actually have a lot of Denver bloggers around here. I've lurked on your blog a number of times too and I've been meaning to link you so I'm glad you stopped by and reminded me!

This proves that simple is better!

Larramie, It is if you're as clever as he is!

Lisa, I didn't find this as funny as the others, mainly because I'm in his shoes, though without a published book. I still don't know what that thing that looks like delicious but has dots in it is.

Hahahaha - love it!

I couldn't stop laughing at this! I've been really conservative lately about buying new books (my TBR's are taking over my office!), but on the strength of your recommendation and that video, I had to give Amazon my credit card info. :) Clever marketing!

I will. Thanks for the heads up!!!

Literary Quote

It is worth mentioning, for future reference, that the creative power which bubbles so pleasantly in beginning a new book quiets down after a time, and one goes on more steadily. Doubts creep in. Then one becomes resigned. Determination not to give in, and the sense of an impending shape keep one at it more than anything.
